Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain renowned for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established as a pioneer in the fast-casual dining segment, Chipotle operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike many other chains, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, enabling a consistent and high-quality experience. Chipotle is more than just a restaurant; it is a company dedicated to cultivating a better world through food, emphasizing sustainable farming, ethical sourcing, and innovative culinary practices. The company has cultivated a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level, fostering a people-first workplace environment and encouraging applicants from diverse backgrounds to join its team.
The opportunity at Chipotle is much more than a standard job—it is a chance to join a dynamic and fast-growing restaurant team that puts people and culture first. Many employees start at Chipotle expecting a paycheck but end up finding rewarding career paths thanks to exceptional training programs and clearly defined avenues for advancement. Remarkably, over 80% of Chipotle's managers have been promoted from within, starting their careers as crew members. Chipotle prepares real food by hand every day in their restaurants with no reliance on freezers, microwaves, or can openers. This ensures freshness and quality in every meal served while cultivating pride and craftsmanship in its team members.
As a team member, individuals will receive thorough training to confidently perform various roles, including grilling, cashiering, prepping ingredients, making salsa, and expediting orders. Employees take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and helping create the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that customers expect and enjoy. Chipotle welcomes applicants of all experience levels, whether they are seasoned in roles such as dishwasher, cashier, server, host, bartender, or cook, or individuals with no prior experience but a passion for food and customer service.
Chipotle offers numerous benefits, including tuition assistance covering 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food while on shift, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive compensation, and full-time and part-time job opportunities. The company is committed to supporting employees' personal growth and wellbeing and fostering opportunities for advancement. Chipotle also values a friendly, enthusiastic attitude, passion for helping and serving others, a strong desire to learn how to cook, and basic communication skills. Employees must be at least 16 years old and able to communicate in the primary language(s) of their location.
Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a community committed to making better food accessible to all while nurturing employees’ development and pride. Candidates can expect a work environment that encourages learning, growth, and the chance to contribute to a brand leading the way in sustainable business practices, innovation, digital technology, and exceptional dining experiences.
