We are currently seeking dedicated Full-Time Crew Members to join our vibrant team. In this role, employees will be the face of Wendy's, responsible for providing service and guest courtesy that consistently exceeds our customer's expectations, offering a "wow!" service experience. The Full-Time Crew Member position is fundamental to maintaining the smooth operation of our restaurant and includes a variety of tasks ranging from order taking and customer interaction to food preparation and cleanliness maintenance. Employees will greet customers warmly, handle suggestive sales, record accurate orders, and ensure efficient customer flow within the restaurant. This role requires assembling food items correctly and serving beverages and desserts, managing payments, and promptly addressing any customer questions or complaints. Furthermore, crew members will support food preparation by retrieving stock and preparing food items in accordance with company standards. Maintaining an orderly eating and serving area and following all company policies and procedures are also integral to the role. Job Requirements
- No prior experience or training required
- Must be able to read and write at a basic level
- Must have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Must have basic reasoning skills
- Must have Crew Leader Certification or willingness to obtain
- Must have Shift Supervisor Certification or willingness to obtain
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
- Must be at least 16 years old
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred but not required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform mathematical operations using American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Crew Leader Certification
- Shift Supervisor Certification
Job Duties
- Greets the customer
- Suggestive sale and answer questions about products
- Records the customer's order
- Stages customers in serpentine area to maintain a smooth customer flow
- Selects requested food items from serving or storage areas and assembles items on serving tray or in takeout bag
- Serves cold drinks, hot beverages, and desserts
- Receives payment
- Assists customers with questions or complaints
- Retrieves raw food stock and places at appropriate station for preparation
- Performs duties to prepare food
- Maintains orderly eating and serving areas
- Ensures that he or she follows all company issued policies and procedures
