The role of Team Member at Golden Chick offers an exciting opportunity to be part of this dynamic and expanding brand. This position plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer experiences by providing friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced environment. Team Members are responsible for greeting customers with a positive attitude, accurately taking and entering orders through the POS system, and promoting menu items with suggestive selling techniques. Handling cash and card payments, ensuring order accuracy, and maintaining clean and organized workstations are also key responsibilities.

Additionally, Team Members assist with minor food preparation, stock supplies, and uphold sanitation and cleanliness standards across the dining and service areas. Communication is essential in this role, as team members collaborate with cooks, managers, and fellow team members to ensure smooth operation and customer satisfaction. The position requires flexibility to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Golden Chick provides on-the-job training and supports employees in obtaining necessary certifications such as the State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire.

This is an hourly position with a pay range of $10 to $13 per hour, dependent on experience. Job Requirements

Less than high school education
GED or high school degree preferred
basic comprehension skills
ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally
willingness to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
State Food Handler certification obtained within 60 days of hire
must stand for long periods
able to work in environments with heat and moderate noise
must purchase non-slip shoes for safety
able to follow health and safety guidelines
able to perform minor food preparation and cleaning tasks

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Greets customers with a positive and friendly attitude
enters orders into POS system and uses suggestive selling techniques
receives payment by cash and credit card and maintains cash drawer
presents orders to guests ensuring accuracy
assists with ordering filling as needed
reads monitor to identify products that need preparation
notifies cook of special orders, shortages, and needs
performs minor food preparation
stocks supplies and cleans dining room tables and restrooms
sweeps and mops floors
discards trash and fills ice bins
sets up workstations with ingredients and equipment
maintains cleanliness on service and presentation counters
organizes and rotates display cooler
follows health, sanitation, and safety protocols
takes ownership of maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation
communicates positively and professionally with customers, team members, and managers
assists fellow team members enthusiastically
works variable schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
performs other duties as assigned
