The client’s commitment to craftsmanship and simplicity drives high-impact projects that seamlessly reach hundreds of millions, continuously pushing the boundaries of technology and creativity.

The role of Creative Systems Developer is a unique blend of systems engineering and creative infrastructure management. Positioned at the heart of the creative production environment, this role demands the design, building, and maintenance of internal tools, APIs, and infrastructure that empower creative professionals locally and across the client’s extensive global design footprint. The systems and automation developed here enable smooth, reliable workflows that keep designers productive and enable the delivery of stunning content seen across various platforms including apps, games, music, movies, TV shows, and emerging new media.

This role offers in-office work in Culver City, CA or Cupertino, CA with a hybrid schedule of on-site Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday. Compensation is provided on a W2 basis with weekly pay, comprehensive benefits including health insurance and 401k plans with company matching. Candidates will undergo a background screening as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities encompass maintaining and monitoring high-performance network-attached storage systems such as Qumulo across physical and cloud environments worldwide, ensuring data redundancy and robust backup strategies. A significant function involves automation—leveraging Python and Linux shell scripting to streamline infrastructure operations and align with creative production needs efficiently. The role also requires deploying and scaling internal services on Kubernetes-managed clusters to support dynamic creative workflows.

In addition, the developer will support system operations including software license management, user software installation, and configuration, while also providing comprehensive documentation for APIs, tools, and operational procedures. Collaboration is key—working closely with technical business partners and engineering teams across systems, networking, security, and desktop environments ensures projects align with architectural roadmaps and meet the evolving needs of a cutting-edge creative organization.

Ideal applicants possess over three years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or system administration with exposure to media or design environments. Expertise in high-performance storage architectures such as Qumulo, Isilon, or NetApp, modern automation workflows utilizing AI-assisted development tools, and strong scripting skills in Python and Linux shell are essential. Experience managing Kubernetes and cloud infrastructures (e.g., AWS S3, EC2), solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP), Git version control, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management toolsets rounds out the technical profile.

Soft skills including exceptional communication abilities are crucial for bridging technical dialogue between creative and engineering teams. Preferred qualifications include understanding creative production pipelines, familiarity with VMware vSphere, database systems like SQL/Postgres, familiarity with system monitoring platforms, and a keen design sensibility for building accessible internal tools and interfaces focused on visual consistency and usability.

Joining this team places you at the forefront of digital innovation within a company committed to elevating beautiful and impactful creative content for users around the globe. This is a compelling opportunity to contribute your technical expertise to an extraordinary creative environment, building infrastructure that supports the next generation of creative expression.
