The role of a Cover Delivery Driver at Staples is crucial within the Supply Chain team. This full-time position, with working hours typically from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm Monday through Friday, involves driving various route assignments primarily to cover for vacations and absences, with coverage expected 50% of the time. The Cover Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering office supplies to customers, providing excellent customer service, and resolving product-related issues, including accepting returns. Efficient loading of vehicles and organizing delivery routes to optimize schedules using manifests is essential to ensure timely deliveries. Safety is a top priority, so drivers are expected to adhere to rigorous safety practices, maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct pre-trip inspections, and report any maintenance concerns. The position requires problem-solving skills and customer engagement to enhance the overall customer experience. This role forms the backbone of Staples' supply chain operations to fulfill customer needs effectively.
