Our establishment is a vibrant, full-service Courtyard hotel located in the heart of Los Angeles, featuring 266 rooms alongside comprehensive food and beverage services that include banquets, a la carte breakfast and dinner options, and a fully stocked bar. Situated conveniently close to popular destinations such as Santa Monica and Venice beaches, Sofi Stadium, Kia Forum, and Intuit Dome, our hotel offers an exceptional blend of location, amenities, and a dynamic working environment. We pride ourselves on a culture that values personality and passion over mere experience, welcoming individuals who are either embarking on a new career path or looking to grow within the hospitality industry. We celebrate our team's achievements and foster a sense of community through monthly catered parties, complimentary weekend breakfasts, discounted food offerings, and performance-based recognition programs. This creates a workplace ambiance that balances professionalism with an enjoyable and supportive atmosphere. Join us, and become part of an amazing team dedicated to delivering outstanding guest experiences while advancing your career in an industry rich with opportunity.

The Assistant General Manager role is a pivotal position designed for a proactive and confident leader. You will serve as the essential right hand to the General Manager, stepping in to oversee hotel operations during their absence. This leadership role demands exceptional skills in supervising multiple departments, ensuring revenue targets are met, and effectively managing operational costs. As the Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for every guest by fostering teamwork among staff, maintaining high service standards, and implementing best practices across all divisions.

This position is overtime eligible (OEM), with overtime compensated accordingly, reflecting the demanding yet rewarding nature of hotel management. Key responsibilities include driving profitability through strategic collaboration, problem-solving challenges swiftly, and playing a vital role in the recruitment, training, and development of guest services personnel and other team members. Communication is a cornerstone of your duties; you will need to maintain transparent and effective dialogue with both guests and colleagues to uphold our commitment to excellence.

Mastery of financial information and data analysis is crucial, as you will be tasked with monitoring and optimizing the hotel's financial performance. Additionally, a strong proficiency in Windows Operating Systems is expected to facilitate efficient management and insightful reporting. Upholding professional appearance and grooming standards for all team members is also among your duties, ensuring that the hotel's image remains polished and inviting.

Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of progressive hotel experience, particularly within rooms or food and beverage operations, or possess a related degree complemented by relevant experience. A supervisory background combined with the ability to maintain calmness and objectivity under pressure is necessary. Holding or the willingness to obtain key certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid is required to meet safety and regulatory obligations effectively.

Joining our team means more than just taking on a managerial post; it means becoming a hospitality hero dedicated to crafting unforgettable guest moments and promoting a fun, collaborative workplace. With full-time employment, you will be eligible for a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, and more. If you are ready to embrace this exciting challenge and contribute to a well-established hotel in an iconic city, we encourage you to apply and ignite your career growth with us.
