We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as Chef & B (Beverage). This role places you at the helm of our culinary operations, where you will lead and inspire a dynamic kitchen team to deliver a consistent five-star dining experience that impresses guests with exceptional food quality and presentation. As the Chef & B, your role is multifaceted: you will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, provide leadership and training to kitchen staff, and ensure that every dish served aligns with our high standards and the hotel's reputation for excellence. Your creativity and passion for food will be instrumental in developing new menu items and improving existing offerings, ensuring that every meal served is both innovative and delightful.
Beyond culinary expertise, this leadership role involves collaborating closely with other departments, especially during conventions and group events, guaranteeing flawless service from kitchen to dining room. You will take charge of managing budgets, controlling food and labor costs, and driving revenue generation through strategic menu planning and operational efficiency. Your role as a motivator and mentor to the kitchen staff is vital, as you lead hiring initiatives, conduct training sessions, and maintain effective pre-shift briefings to ensure the team works cohesively and efficiently.
Your commitment to quality will be evident in your diligent daily inspections to uphold cleanliness and food safety standards, as well as prompt resolution of any guest feedback or incidents. Additionally, you will supervise inventory management to minimize waste, loss, and breakage, maintaining a professional and polished operation that reflects the hotel’s brand values. This position reports directly to the General Manager, empowering you to impact financial goals while crafting an unforgettable dining experience for our guests. Joining Courtyard Atlanta Decatur Downtown/Emory means becoming part of a reputable hospitality brand focused on growth, excellence, and employee satisfaction.
