Job Requirements

high school education preferred but not absolutely required
be able to perform arithmetical calculations at eighth-grade level
ability to hear, speak, and understand spoken word
ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and understand English
must have valid work permit if under the age of 18
willingness to comply with all store policies including punctuality
ability to sit, stand, and use hands regularly
occasional lifting of up to 42 pounds
ability to climb ladders and perform cleaning duties
ability to tolerate dust and chemical fumes
ability to work in refrigerated and heated environments
sufficient physical agility to respond to emergencies
capability to handle fresh produce without allergies

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

observe all store rules and company policies

observe shift operating hours as scheduled or assigned
bag customer purchases according to store procedures
provide carry out service
sort and return stock items to shelf locations
perform price checks
obtain items from shelves for customer exchanges or purchases
assist customers with purchases and loading into vehicles
gather shopping carts and return to designated areas
move empty bottles and containers from front end to back room
assist with prompt cleanup of spills and breakage to prevent hazards
sweep floors during store hours
keep front end clean and orderly
handle damaged and spoiled products
control excessive use of utilities and water and conserve energy
assist in training personnel
greet customers and provide courteous service
accurately record in-store merchandise use
maintain cleanliness of front end displays
adhere to housekeeping and sanitation standards
use and maintain equipment and report maintenance issues
observe security standards and report abnormal behavior
notify management of personnel or policy issues affecting operations
perform other work-related duties as assigned
