This part-time Driver/Operator role focuses on the efficient and courteous delivery and pick-up of packages using company vehicles that are not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. The driver will ensure shipments conform to FedEx’s features of service while providing exceptional customer service. The job requires adherence to safety standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage packages of various weights, including lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted or heavier packages with assistance and proper equipment. This position operates Monday to Friday with afternoon and early evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This is a non-covered safety-sensitive role, meaning it involves careful attention to traffic rules and customer interaction but does not fall under certain regulatory constraints for commercial vehicle operation. While no prior experience is required, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license appropriate to the vehicle assigned, and demonstrate the ability to read and speak English sufficiently for understanding traffic signs and communicating with traffic officials.
