The Driver/Operator of Company Vehicles position within FedEx is a pivotal role responsible for the safe and courteous transportation of packages. This part-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The starting pay for this role is $22.11 per hour. The primary responsibilities include providing efficient and friendly delivery and pick-up of shipments, ensuring that packages conform to FedEx's features of service, and offering associated customer service functions during delivery. Drivers are expected to operate company vehicles safely while observing all traffic laws and regulations as outlined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Additionally, individuals in this position must maintain a neat and professional appearance, as the role involves frequent interaction with customers. This job also requires the ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs and to manage heavier items with assistance or proper equipment.

This role necessitates specific qualifications such as holding a valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned vehicle and meeting federal safety standards, including passing medical examinations compliant with FMCSA or FAA regulations. The driver must be at least 21 years old and possess the ability to comprehend and communicate in English sufficiently to interact with traffic officials and understand signage.
