Job Description

Pace is currently offering a part-time Courier position with shifts Monday through Friday, totaling 30 hours per week, available during the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This role offers a starting wage of $18.00 per hour, with actual compensation being influenced by geographic location, experience, education, skills, and adherence to organizational compensation guidelines.

As a Courier at Pace, you will play a pivotal role in the safe, timely pickup, transport, and delivery of environmental samples and related materials that support the company’s laboratory operations. Your efforts directly contribute to maintaining sample integrity and the accuracy of critical environmental data. This position requires a responsible and motivated individual who values diligence and attention to detail while working independently and collaboratively within a team. You will be responsible for preparing your assigned vehicle daily, performing safety checks and basic maintenance, and efficiently handling related documentation and databases. The Courier will also provide support to staff and management, help resolve process-related issues, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a related role preferred but not required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to maintain all required licenses and certifications
  • Knowledge of safe driving principles
  • Understanding of sample transport procedures
  • Ability to follow organizational policies and procedures
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively
  • Good judgment and professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of safe driving, customer service, and sample transport principles
  • Ability to learn and follow organizational policies, procedures, and transportation protocols
  • Comfort using basic computer applications and maintaining documentation accurately

  • Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external customers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good judgment, professionalism, and discretion when interacting with others

Job Duties

  • Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, and materials as needed
  • Review, complete, and process documents, databases, and related information for sample pick-up, transport, and delivery
  • Prepare your assigned vehicle for daily operations, including documentation, safety checks, and basic maintenance needs
  • Provide support and assistance to staff and management related to sample transport procedures
  • Assist in researching issues and recommend solutions to improve processes and resolve customer, staff, or management concerns
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, seeking guidance or escalating issues as needed
  • Contribute to team efficiency by offering suggestions and actively participating in team efforts
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment aligned with Pace values
