Job Description
Pace is a leading environmental science company dedicated to making the world a safer and healthier place through innovative scientific practices and sustainable solutions. Established in 1978, Pace has a long-standing commitment to advancing the health and safety of communities by providing accurate quality data at critical moments and milestones. Our work empowers partners across various industries and sectors with reliable environmental data that drives informed decisions, supports compliance, and fosters environmental stewardship.
As a company, Pace fosters a collaborative, inclusive, and customer-focused work environment that values curiosity, talent, and drive. We believe in supporting our employees with opportunities for career growth, skill development, and meaningful contributions to impactful scientific work. Our commitment extends beyond just business success to include protecting our environment and communities, making Pace an ideal workplace for individuals passionate about environmental science and public health.
We are currently looking to hire a part-time Courier who will play a vital role in supporting our laboratory operations by ensuring the safe and timely pickup, transport, and delivery of environmental samples and materials. The Courier position is critical to maintaining the integrity of samples that our scientists and partners rely on for accurate analysis. This role offers a flexible work schedule with specific shift hours: Monday through Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Thursday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Compensation for this role is $16.00 per hour, though final salary offers may vary based on geographic location, candidate experience, education, skills, and alignment with our internal equity and organizational guidelines.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of important activities including processing documentation and databases related to sample transport, preparing vehicles for daily operations through safety checks and maintenance, and assisting staff and management with transport procedures and issue resolution. Your work directly supports the accuracy and timeliness of data that plays an essential role in protecting ecosystems and public health. We value employees who bring professionalism, good judgment, strong communication skills, and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Pace provides equal employment opportunities and promotes a diverse workforce free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, age, disability, or any other legally protected status. We also offer a welcoming atmosphere where employees can contribute ideas and participate in continuous process improvements.
Though this is a part-time role, joining Pace means you are becoming part of an organization dedicated to environmental science excellence and community health. If you are motivated by the idea of making a tangible difference through your work while developing your career in a respected environmental company, we encourage you to apply and find your place at Pace.
