Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated Courier to join our team, available for a full-time shift from Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The hourly compensation rate for this role is $18.00, with salary considerations based on geographic location, experience, education, skills, and internal equity standards. The Courier will be responsible for the safe and timely pickup, transport, and delivery of environmental samples, documents, and materials that support the operations of Pace’s environmental laboratories. This role is vital for ensuring the integrity of samples, which directly impacts the accuracy of data that helps protect public health and ecosystems.

As a Courier at Pace, you will prepare your assigned vehicle for daily operations, maintaining safety standards and performing basic maintenance tasks. You will be required to review and process all relevant documentation and databases related to sample transportation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies. Additionally, you will provide support to staff and management regarding sample transport procedures and assist in identifying and resolving process issues. Job Qualifications

  • ability to learn and follow organizational policies, procedures, and transportation protocols
  • comfort using basic computer applications and maintaining documentation accurately
  • strong communication skills with both internal teams and external customers
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • good judgment, professionalism, and discretion when interacting with others

Job Duties

  • Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, and materials as needed
  • review, complete, and process documents, databases, and related information for sample pick-up, transport, and delivery
  • prepare assigned vehicle for daily operations, including documentation, safety checks, and basic maintenance needs
  • provide support and assistance to staff and management related to sample transport procedures
  • assist in researching issues and recommend solutions to improve processes and resolve customer, staff, or management concerns
  • help ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, seeking guidance or escalating issues as needed
