The role of a Courier at Pace is vital to the company’s operations. This position involves the safe and timely pickup, transport, and delivery of environmental samples and related materials that support laboratory functions. Couriers play a key role in maintaining the integrity of each sample, which directly impacts the accuracy and reliability of scientific data used for environmental protection. The Courier works closely with staff and management to facilitate efficient transport procedures and contributes to team efforts to enhance operational efficiency. This is a part-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, offering compensation at $18.00 per hour.

Beyond transportation duties, the Courier will handle relevant documentation, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and assist in process improvements. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in a related role preferred but not required
Valid Driver's License and the ability to maintain all required licenses and certifications
Knowledge of safe driving, customer service, and sample transport principles
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to learn and follow organizational policies, procedures, and transportation protocols
Comfort using basic computer applications
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Good judgment and professionalism

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, and materials as needed
Review, complete, and process documents, databases, and related information for sample pick-up, transport, and delivery
Prepare your assigned vehicle for daily operations, including documentation, safety checks, and basic maintenance needs
Provide support and assistance to staff and management related to sample transport procedures
Assist in researching issues and recommend solutions to improve processes and resolve customer, staff, or management concerns
Help ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, seeking guidance or escalating issues as needed
Contribute to team efficiency by offering suggestions and actively participating in team efforts
Promote a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused work environment aligned with Pace values
