Known for fostering an inclusive workplace that values diversity and equal opportunity, Sonic Healthcare USA emphasizes creating a supportive environment where employees can thrive and grow their careers. The company operates in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting where precision, reliability, and teamwork are paramount. Employees are part of a community that values safety, compliance, and quality control as essential elements of their daily work culture.
This particular opportunity is located in Gulfport, Mississippi, and offers a part-time position that is benefit eligible. The role involves working Monday and Friday, with additional shifts to cover when the regular driver is off, from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. As a vital member of the Sonic Healthcare USA team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of medical specimens, records, supplies, and reports between laboratory and healthcare provider locations. This role is essential to the patient care process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of specimens and information, which directly impacts patient outcomes. The driver must exhibit reliability, excellent customer service skills, and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Interaction with a variety of clients requires a professional demeanor and the ability to operate efficiently under time constraints without close supervision. The physical aspect of the job includes the capacity to perform light to medium lifting, normally up to 50 pounds.
This position not only offers competitive pay but also a wealth of benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match. Employees also enjoy free lab services for themselves and eligible dependents, work-life balance, and opportunities for professional growth. Sonic Healthcare USA champions a sense of belonging and treats its employees as valued members of a community dedicated to making a difference through clinical excellence. Because this role involves incidental exposure to Protected Health Information (PHI), all employees receive training on safeguarding privacy and confidentiality following applicable standards. This opportunity is ideal for dependable individuals who enjoy driving, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to contribute to meaningful healthcare solutions.
