The current opportunity is for a part-time Courier / Logistics role located in Shreveport, Louisiana, offering approximately 25 hours per week with a 2nd shift schedule. This role is vital within the organization's operations as it ensures the efficient and secure transportation of medical reports, records, supplies, and specimens between laboratories and healthcare provider facilities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record for the past three years
  • Confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints without close supervision
  • Physical capability of light to medium lifting up to 50lbs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record for the past three years
  • Ability to operate a vehicle confidently in all weather and traffic conditions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time-constrained environment
  • Physical ability to perform light to medium lifting up to 50lbs
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Experience operating commercial or business vehicles is advantageous

Job Duties

  • Perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations
  • Ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle in all weather conditions
  • Interact with a variety of clients and commit to customer-focused service
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
  • Abide by privacy, confidentiality, and security standards related to Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Navigate routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate records of transport activities
