This role offers a full-time, benefit-eligible position located in Austin, Texas, specifically on the 2nd shift, with scheduled weekly hours totaling 40. The role is vital to the patient care process, playing a key part in the logistics and transportation of medical specimens, records, supplies, and reports between laboratory facilities and healthcare provider locations. As a healthcare courier at Sonic Healthcare USA, the successful candidate will assume the responsibility of ensuring the safe, timely, and compliant handling and transport of sensitive medical specimens and information.
In this capacity, the courier will navigate a range of driving conditions and traffic scenarios to fulfill essential delivery and pickup duties. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- a valid driver’s license
- an excellent driving record for the past three years
- confidence operating a vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions and navigating routine hazards of the road
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints without close supervision
- physical capability of light to medium lifting up to 50lbs

Job Duties
- perform a vital part of the patient care process by making sure that reports, records, supplies, and medical specimens are successfully transported between the laboratory and healthcare provider locations
- ensure proper specimen handling, transport, and safe operation of a motor vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions
- interact with a variety of clients and commit to customer-focused service
