The Countroom Cashier position at Parkwest Casino plays a vital role in the cash handling and security operations of the casino. This full-time role offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $18.00 to $18.50 per hour and requires the individual to work in-person at the casino location. The Countroom Cashier is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and security of the counts in the Drop Box and works closely with the Security Department. This position requires a candidate who is attentive to detail, mathematically skilled, and capable of maintaining a secure and organized work environment.

In this role, the cashier will be responsible for a variety of tasks including performing cash runs to various casino windows such as Satellite, Pavilion, Gold Room, and Pai Gow. Furthermore, the role involves maintaining the safety and security of the Countroom at all times, managing equipment needs, and ensuring the work area is organized and safe. The Countroom Cashier will also perform shredding duties when assigned and collect racks for counts at specified intervals. The ability to work any shift including weekends, holidays, on call, and overtime is essential, emphasizing the need for flexibility and reliability. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year cash handling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to use a 10-key adding machine
  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
  • Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers
  • Available for full time work including weekends, holidays, on call and overtime
  • Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members
  • Requires strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent

  • Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling, and ready for all programs and activities

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the accuracy and security of the counts in the drop box
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals
  • Performs cage chip runs to Satellite, Pavilion, Gold Room and Pai Gow windows
  • Ensures that the security of the countroom is maintained at all times
  • Performs shredding when assigned by a Cage Supervisor
  • Collects racks for the count at the beginning of the shift or as needed
  • Monitors equipment needs of the countroom and recommends repair or replacement as necessary
  • Ensures that work area is maintained in a safe work environment
  • Must be available to work any shift including weekends, holidays, on call and overtime when needed
  • Other job-related duties as assigned
