This position involves assisting in the operation of the Countroom and working closely with the Security Department to manage the accuracy and security of money counting processes, specifically related to the drop box pull. The Countroom Cashier is responsible for ensuring the precision of counts in the Drop Box, managing various cash handling duties, and maintaining the security and integrity of the Countroom environment. The role requires someone with meticulous attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to maintain a secure and organized workspace under all circumstances. Candidates must be comfortable performing arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers and decimals. Additionally, the Countroom Cashier will perform tasks such as Cage Chip runs to different casino windows, monitoring equipment needs, shredding sensitive documents, and ensuring the overall safety and cleanliness of the working environment. The position demands flexibility as the cashier must be prepared to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year cash handling experience or equivalent
Must be able to pass mandatory screening including background check and drug test
Must be at least 21 years of age
Able to work any shift including weekends, holidays, on call and overtime
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Effective communication skills
Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Willingness to adhere to safety and security protocols

Job Qualifications

Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test
Must be at least 21 years of age
Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers
Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling
Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules
Able to communicate clearly with team members
Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
Able to work independently
Able to work within a team environment
High school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year cash handling experience
or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Banking or casino experience preferred but not required
Ability to use a 10-key adding machine

Job Duties

Responsible for the accuracy and security of the counts in the Drop Box
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals
Performs Cage Chip runs to Satellite, Pavilion, Gold Room and Pai Gow windows
Ensures that the security of the Countroom is maintained at all times
Performs shredding when assigned by a Cage Supervisor
Collects racks for the count at the beginning of the shift or as needed
Monitors equipment needs of the Countroom and recommends repair or replacement as necessary
Ensures that work area is maintained in a safe work environment
Must be available to work any shift including weekends, holidays, on call and overtime when needed
Other job-related duties as assigned
