Located in Seattle, WA, the company is currently seeking a Counter Sales Representative for a retail shop setting. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $24 to $27 per hour, along with substantial bonus opportunities. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekend shifts, supporting a healthy work-life balance. Employees receive personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by Airgas to ensure safety.

The Counter Sales Representative plays a key role in bridging the company's extensive product range with customer needs, delivering outstanding service and operational support. In this dynamic industrial environment, representatives engage directly with customers, providing expert guidance on gases, welding equipment, and other essential supplies. Demonstrating equipment use and advising on product quality, representatives help customers find optimal solutions to achieve their project goals efficiently and safely. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to operational details, and effective team collaboration. It includes responsibilities such as order processing, transaction management, customer communication, inventory coordination, and maintaining a professional, welcoming showroom environment.   • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments

Job Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus
  • Attention to detail in handling transactions
  • Availability for occasional overtime
  • Ability to operate in a drug-free workplace
  • Background in gas, welding, or safety supplies is an asset
  • Familiarity with SAP, Google, or MS Office applications
  • Detailed understanding of SAP and PROS functionalities
  • Ability to communicate clearly and warmly with a wide variety of people

Job Duties

  • Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and use of personal protective equipment to ensure a secure environment for everyone
  • Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external partners fostering understanding and long-term relationships
  • Ensures all required paperwork is accurately completed including coding, costing, and pricing
  • Partners with customers to identify the best tools and procedures for their specific tasks and demonstrates equipment use to build customer confidence
  • Manages order entry and processes transactions
  • assists the team with reconciliation of deposits
  • Coordinates via phone, e-mail, and in person with customers and team members to provide helpful information on costs and delivery
  • Contributes to an outgoing call strategy to support the continued growth and success of the branch
  • Coordinates the transfer of merchandise between locations to meet customer needs
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a supportive manner with customers, vendors, and colleagues
  • Stocks shelves and maintains welcoming showroom displays to provide an excellent customer experience
  • Coordinate cylinder movement and pallet organization
