The role of Counter Sales Representative at Airgas in Gardena, CA, is designed for motivated individuals who thrive in dynamic, customer-facing environments and enjoy operational support tasks. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $19-$24 with bonus opportunities, a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend work, and comprehensive benefits starting after just 30 days of employment. As a Counter Sales Representative, you will be at the forefront of customer experience, providing expert guidance on industrial gases, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, and essential supplies necessary for project success. Your responsibilities include advising customers on the selection and use of tools and hardware, demonstrating equipment use to enhance customer confidence, and fostering long-term relationships through excellent service. This role also requires adherence to safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment, order processing, managing transactions, and coordinating merchandise transfers between locations. You will communicate with customers and team members via phone, email, and in-person to provide cost and delivery information and contribute to outbound call strategies aimed at branch growth. Maintaining showroom displays and organizing inventory are additional duties vital to creating a positive work environment and excellent customer service experience.

This position values candidates with at least a high school diploma or equivalent and over two years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments. Exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, drug-free workplace are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in industrial retail, inside sales, welding, safety supplies, and familiarity with SAP, Google, and Microsoft Office applications. Job Duties
