This role is designed for individuals who are customer service-oriented and sales-driven, as the primary responsibility is to provide an outstanding experience for customers in a fast-paced, sales-focused environment. The Counter Sales Associate serves as the face of the company in the showroom and interacts directly with internal sales teams, vendors, contractors, and walk-in customers, promoting the company’s brands and ensuring maximum sales.\n\nIn this role, the associate is tasked with performing a variety of duties that include processing sales orders, sourcing and shipping parts, managing inventory, and assisting in warranty administration. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge about HVAC products and a strong ability to engage customers through suggestive selling techniques. The associate is responsible for showroom merchandising and restocking products, maintaining organized shelves or racks to ensure a clean and professional sales area. Customer relations are a key focus, with responsibilities extending to resolving issues for both dealers and end users, thereby fostering long-term relationships and customer loyalty.\n\nAdherence to company safety protocols is critical in this role, as is the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The Counter Sales Associate will actively participate in safety training sessions and maintain a safe work environment by reporting hazards and following guidelines for safe product handling and storage. The role also involves conducting outgoing sales or service calls and occasionally assisting with other duties as assigned, making it a dynamic and multifaceted position. Job Duties

  • Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry ensuring maximum sales
  • interact with internal and outside salespeople, vendors and contractors
  • responsible for showroom merchandising and re-stocking product
  • assist in resolving customer relations problems with both dealers and end users
  • complete sales order process for customers with efforts to up-sell associated items
  • service walk-in and telephone customers and assist with sourcing and shipping parts, inventory control and warranty administration
  • provide customer product and service needs by researching products via computer system, catalog, telephone or other reference sources
