The Counter Sales position at Heritage Pool Supply is a pivotal customer touchpoint, charged with providing outstanding service and accurate order processing at the sales counter. Serving as the primary interface between customers and the company, the role demands multitasking proficiency, including order entry, inventory management, and logistical coordination to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products. The individual in this position is expected to handle customer interactions across multiple channels including phone, email, and face-to-face consultations, embodying the company’s values through courteous and professional communication.

Beyond direct sales, the Counter Sales associate is responsible for creating detailed sales orders and accurate quotes, with careful consideration of customer measurements and project specifications to estimate material needs and costs. This meticulous attention to detail extends to inventory tasks such as cycle counts, order picking, staging, and managing shipping and receiving activities. Additionally, the position supports logistics by coordinating truck deliveries and collaborating closely with warehouse and management teams to fulfill special orders and maintain seamless operational flow.

Operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that blends retail and warehouse settings, the role requires physical stamina for extended standing, walking, and lifting up to 75 pounds regularly. Clear verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities are essential. The position reports directly to the Branch Manager and does not include supervisory duties. While no travel is needed, flexibility to work overtime during peak seasons is required to meet business demands.
