The Counter Sales position at Heritage Pool Supply - New Berlin is a pivotal customer-facing role that combines sales expertise with operational and logistical responsibilities. This full-time role operates onsite at the designated sales counter location and serves as a major touchpoint between the company and its customers. The person in this role is responsible for accurate order processing, providing knowledgeable product recommendations, coordinating delivery logistics, and maintaining inventory integrity. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience in customer service or sales role preferred
  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and internet navigation
  • Experience or familiarity with point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly and 50 lbs repetitively
  • Ability to work in office, warehouse, and outdoor environments

Job Duties

  • Provide exceptional customer service by effectively interacting with clients through phone, email, and in-person consultations
  • Accurately process and manage customer transactions at the sales counter using the company’s computer system
  • Deliver expert product recommendations and pricing information tailored to customer needs
  • Create detailed sales orders and quotes using customer measurements to estimate material needs and project costs
  • Coordinate and schedule truck deliveries ensuring optimal logistics and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in inventory management activities including cycle counts, order picking, staging, replenishment, and shipping/receiving
  • Collaborate with management and team members to communicate customer needs and special order material requests
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse and sales teams to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with management and colleagues
  • Execute duties in alignment with company policies and customer satisfaction goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
