Job Description

Kith is a renowned lifestyle brand and specialty retailer established in 2011 in New York City. Under the leadership of Founder, CEO, and Creative Director Ronnie Fieg, Kith has become globally recognized for its unique approach to nostalgia, blending it dynamically with contemporary style. The brand prides itself on collaborations with top-tier partners and has expanded its reach to 16 standalone boutiques worldwide, along with 3 shop-in-shop locations. Among these is Kith Treats, a specialty retail concept inspired by Fieg’s childhood love of cereal, which operates in 10 locations and includes the Sadelle’s at Kith restaurants located in Paris, Miami Design District, Toronto, and Seoul.

The Miami Design District store is currently seeking a full-time Treats Counter Associate to join their team. This role is vital as the Treats Counter Associate is the face of the Kith Treats shop, responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience with every interaction. This position offers a competitive hourly wage between $17.00 and $19.00 plus commission (for eligible permanent positions) and tips. The Treats Counter Associate must be personable, friendly, and deeply passionate about desserts, uniquely combining excellent customer service with a commitment to the art of dessert presentation. This role requires mastery of presentation and plating techniques for Kith Treats’ visually captivating and delicious desserts.

In this position, the associate will be expected to maintain industrial kitchen equipment cleanliness, manage inventory proactively to ensure readiness, and apply the iconic "Swirl" touch to desserts that customers highly seek. Communication with management regarding inventory is critical, as is staying informed about all company activations and partnerships. The associate must strictly adhere to all company policies and food safety standards, demonstrating flexibility to meet the business's scheduling needs, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Beyond customer service and food preparation, the Treats Counter Associate will assist the Shops Management team with housekeeping duties essential for maintaining the operational standards of food and beverage environments. Special projects such as physical inventories and assisting the merchandising team with visual initiatives are also part of this dynamic role. Overall, the position offers the opportunity to represent a distinctive, globally respected brand while honing culinary presentation skills in a vibrant retail setting.

Job Requirements

Open and flexible availability including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as holidays
Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require
Valid ServSafe or Food Handler’s Certificate or equivalent
1-2 years in a food/beverage position
1+ years in a customer facing position is preferred
1+ years of cash handling is preferred
Ability to perform business math
Ability to multi-task
Efficient communication
Ability to lift and move 30lbs
Ability to perform standard tasks related to retail operations including bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods

Job Duties

Continuously providing an exceptional experience for each of our Treats customers capped off with a visually captivating and equally delicious dessert
Practicing and mastering the plating and presentation techniques used on each one of our creations
Clean and maintain industrial kitchen equipment
Using time between customers to manage inventory levels to ensure we are always prepared
Applying our iconic “Swirl” to our highly sought-after desserts
Proactively communicating inventory needs with management
Remaining updated on all company activations as well as any brand partnerships
Adhere to all company processes, policies, and procedures
Follow all food and safety processes, policies, and procedures
Adhere to availability and scheduling needs of the business
Assist Shops Management team with housekeeping responsibilities including dusting, sweeping, collecting trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food and beverage operations
Participate and assist in physical inventories as required by the business
Assist Merchandising team during visual initiatives as required by the business
