The role available is for a Treats Counter Associate based at the Chicago store, a seasonal position with compensation ranging from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour plus commission (for permanent employees) and tip eligibility. The Treats Counter Associate serves as the vital first point of contact for customers at Kith Treats, ensuring memorable and exceptional service experiences. This role demands a personable, friendly, and customer-focused individual passionate about desserts and committed to delivering best-in-class presentations of the brand’s unique offerings. Responsibilities include mastering plating and presentation techniques, maintaining cleanliness and inventory, and applying the brand’s signature "swirl" on desserts. The Associate supports the operational flow, adheres to company policies, and contributes positively to customer satisfaction and team efficiency. This is a dynamic role that requires openness to flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special project participation. Overall, it offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant, creative environment where dessert craftsmanship and customer engagement merge to create a distinctive retail experience.

Job Requirements

  • Open and flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays
  • Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require
  • Valid Food Handler's certificate or equivalent
  • 1-2 years in a food/beverage position
  • 1+ years in a customer facing position is preferred
  • 1+ years of cash handling is preferred
  • Ability to perform business math
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Efficient communication
  • Ability to lift and move 30lbs
  • Ability to perform standard tasks related to retail operations including bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years in a food/beverage position
  • 1+ years in a customer facing position is preferred

Job Duties

  • Continuously providing an exceptional experience for each of our Treats customers, capped off with a visually captivating and equally delicious dessert
  • Practicing and mastering the plating and presentation techniques used on each one of our creations
  • Clean and maintain industrial kitchen equipment
  • Using time between customers to manage inventory levels, to ensure we are always prepared
  • Applying our iconic “Swirl” to our highly sought-after desserts
  • Proactively communicating inventory needs with management
  • Remaining updated on all company activations, as well as any brand partnerships
  • Adhere to all company processes, policies, and procedures
  • Follow all Food and Safety processes, policies, and procedures
  • Adhere to availability and scheduling needs of the business
  • Assist Shops Management team with housekeeping responsibilities, including dusting, sweeping, collecting trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard food and beverage operations
  • Participate and assist in Physical Inventories as required by the business
  • Assist Merchandising team during visual initiatives as required by the business
