The Counselor Supervisor role at MedMark Treatment Centers is a full-time position tasked with supervising the Counselors and Counselor Interns who are responsible for delivering treatment and casework services to patients. This supervisory position requires ensuring that all clinical activities are performed in compliance with pertinent laws, regulations, and company policies. The Counselor Supervisor is integral to the quality assurance process, involved in overseeing timely and accurate documentation based on established plans of care. This role entails identifying the broader needs of patients, including physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects, and managing associated expenditures responsibly within the company’s budget constraints.
The supervisor will also assign and adjust counselors’ caseloads and oversee intake operations, ensuring assessments and pre-admission decisions meet quality and regulatory standards. This position demands providing direct clinical supervision and ongoing staff development through meetings, trainings, and educational initiatives. Maintaining current and accurate clinical records in line with Federal and State regulations for Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP) clinics is another vital responsibility. Job Requirements
- Must hold an LCDC in the state of Texas
- minimum of an Associate's Degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling from a regionally accredited college
- previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals
- must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
- satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen

Job Duties
- Assigns counselors' caseloads, amends when necessary
- direct and supervise all intake operations
- review intake assessment for quality
- direct pre-admission decisions, case reviews and counseling meetings to ensure services are provided in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- conducts quality assurance file reviews
- ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients
- maintain counseling caseload
- provide direct supervision to clinicians as well as assist in the ongoing supervision of staff through meetings, in-service training's, guest speakers and reviewing literature
- ensures accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations governing NTP clinics
- other related duties as determined by supervisor
