This particular opportunity is for the role of Cost Seg, Associate Tax in Northern California within Baker Tilly’s expanding Federal Credits & Incentives practice. The role is integral to the Tangible Asset Incentive Services team, specializing in managing tangible assets to maximize client return. This involves expertise in cost segregation studies, energy credits and incentives, fixed asset consulting, and tangible property regulations.

In this role, you will enjoy working in one of the fastest growing groups within the Baker Tilly network and gain invaluable experience by supporting clients with tangible asset-related advisory services. The position involves conducting site visits, assisting with project planning, analyzing technical issues, producing high-quality client deliverables, and developing client service templates. Emphasis is placed on maintaining exceptional professional standards, ensuring client confidentiality, and delivering timely, high-quality service that exceeds client expectations.

The role offers a competitive salary range in the Bay Area between $77,240 and $119,820, reflecting the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location. Baker Tilly also provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 1 year of related experience required
  • experience preparing estimates of real and personal property building components preferred
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail and accuracy
  • highly motivated and interested in taking the initiative for personal growth and development
  • proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook)
  • willingness and ability to travel up to 30%
