As an employer, Walmart is recognized for its inclusive work culture, commitment to employee development, and comprehensive benefits packages that support both part-time and full-time associates.
This position is for a part-time Cosmetics Cashier at Walmart Supercenter #5617. The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.50 to $30.50, with the actual rate meeting or exceeding the local minimum wage. In addition to this base pay, associates may receive performance-based incentives on an annual or quarterly basis. Depending on specific circumstances such as work schedule, facility location, season, or particular tasks performed, premium payments ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may also apply. The available shifts for this role include mid-shift and closing shifts.
The Cosmetics Cashier plays a critical role in delivering a positive shopping experience for customers interested in cosmetic and beauty products. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage transactions efficiently and accurately. The cashier will also ensure that the cosmetics area is well-organized, stocked, and visually appealing to customers, helping to drive sales and enhance the store's reputation.
Beyond the immediate job responsibilities, Walmart associates enjoy access to a robust benefits package designed to support their well-being and financial security. Health benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. Financial benefits encompass a 401(k) retirement savings plan, company-paid life insurance, and stock purchase options. The company also offers paid time off benefits including parental leave, family care leave, bereavement leave, jury duty, and voting leave. Moreover, Walmart supports its employees with short-term and long-term disability plans, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, reimbursement for adoption and surrogacy expenses, and more.
Employees may also accumulate PTO or PPTO, which can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other personal needs. The amount of paid time off is determined by job classification and tenure with the company. Walmart further invests in education through its Live Better U program, which is available to both full-time and part-time employees. This program offers paid tuition, books, and fees for an array of courses spanning from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, English language learning, and certificate programs.
Walmart is committed to fostering a safe and drug-free workplace, enforcing a strict no-tolerance policy on illegal drug and alcohol use while on the job. This commitment ensures a productive, safe, and respectful environment for all associates and customers.
