Job Description
ABM is one of the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, committed to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable world. Established in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients globally, including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues. With annualized revenue nearing $8 billion and more than 100,000 team members spread across 350+ offices worldwide, ABM offers a comprehensive range of essential services. These services span janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical, landscape and turf, and mission-critical solutions, supporting a broad spectrum of industries.
The Corrugate Tech position at ABM plays a vital role in supporting warehouse operations, specifically focusing on managing cardboard and waste materials to maintain cleanliness inside and outside the facility. This role requires towing, collecting, sorting, and disposing of cardboard and waste materials, while assisting with general upkeep of the warehouse environment. The position is hourly and offers a competitive pay rate of $17.50 per hour. Shift options include 6:30 am to 5:00 pm or 6:30 pm to 5:00 am shifts, working Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Sunday based on availability. The location for this role is at 30260 S Graaskamp Blvd., Wilmington, IL 60481.
The Corrugate Tech will be responsible for towing and emptying trash and cardboard carts, operating pallet jacks and forklifts for loading and unloading trailers, and sorting materials including stock, pallets, cardboard, and trash. The role demands physical activities such as walking long distances, climbing stairs, and lifting materials up to 50-75 lbs consistently. Additionally, the position involves assisting with outdoor cleanup of parking lots and the facility grounds, following warehouse and Amazon safety policies, and communicating effectively with warehouse managers both in person and through radio communication.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the Corrugate Tech to work around machinery, stocking areas, dock doors, and trash disposal areas. Occasional work at heights such as mezzanines may be required. Safety gear including hard hats and safety shoes may also be necessary. The job demands attention to detail, strong teamwork, and communication skills to perform janitorial and warehouse tasks efficiently. Candidates with familiarity with corrugate-handling machinery have an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package to its employees, reinforcing its commitment to employee welfare and workplace satisfaction. As a proud equal opportunity employer, ABM embraces diversity and inclusion, providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities and actively participating in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program to confirm employment eligibility. ABM also supports military veterans by providing access to world-class training and career opportunities post-military service.
