Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food service, facilities, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. Rooted in service and united by a strong purpose, Aramark is dedicated to doing great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company fosters an inclusive and supportive work environment where diversity is valued, and all employees have equal opportunities to thrive regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or any other protected status. Aramark is committed to helping its workforce develop their talents, pursue their passions, and advance their careers, making it an ideal company for individuals seeking growth and meaningful work.
The Corrections Oversight Worker position at Aramark plays a critical role in supervising inmates to ensure that all food preparation aligns with established production plans and Aramark's high-quality standards. This is a supervisory role that requires the individual to train inmates on the proper methods for performing food service duties such as meal preparation, tray assembly, and food handling according to stringent safety and quality guidelines. The Corrections Oversight Worker is responsible not only for overseeing the work but also for promoting efficiency and maintaining facility sanitation and safety. This role emphasizes compliance with all company policies as well as correctional facility security protocols, including locking storage areas and securing kitchen tools and equipment.
The role also involves coordinating schedules for food service workers and inmates, participating directly in meal preparation and service, and managing inventory, requisitions, and food storage. The Corrections Oversight Worker must ensure that all meals meet dietary restrictions and proper portion control is observed. A key part of the job is adhering to Aramark’s HACCP policies and procedural standards, assuring food safety and quality at all times.
This position requires a high level of judgment, leadership, and interpersonal skills, as the worker will be managing inmate labor in a correctional environment. Candidates need to be able to work with limited supervision while exercising tact and maintaining professionalism under potentially challenging circumstances. Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Because this role operates within a correctional facility, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance and comply with all safety and security regulations.
Aramark seeks motivated individuals who are passionate about food service and committed to following safety standards, while also having the ability to lead and train others effectively. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a structured environment that values food safety, operational efficiency, and employee development. Individuals interested in applying for this role will find themselves part of a respected company with a clear mission and a culture dedicated to excellence and inclusion.
