Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food service, facilities, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries. With a strong commitment to excellence and rooted deeply in service, Aramark strives to create positive impacts not only for its employees and clients but also for the communities and the planet. The company is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace where every employee is provided equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or any other legally protected status. Aramark places a high priority on developing its people by supporting their professional growth, fueling their passions, and helping them reach their full potential through meaningful career challenges and strong community support.

The role of Corrections Oversight Worker at Aramark is a vital position within the correctional facility setting where food services are provided. This role involves supervising inmates to ensure that meal preparation and food production strictly follow established production plans and Aramark’s high standards. The Corrections Oversight Worker is responsible for training inmates in food preparation methods, assigning and coordinating work to maximize operational efficiency, and maintaining facility sanitation while ensuring personal and operational safety. This position demands a proactive approach in supervising meal preparation, tray assembly, and monitoring adherence to safety and quality standards including temperature control and proper food handling as defined by HACCP guidelines.

In addition to overseeing kitchen operations, this role also includes participating in food preparation and service, reviewing and approving production logs, distributing recipes, and ensuring that dietary requirements for inmates are met precisely. The Corrections Oversight Worker must ensure compliance with security protocols such as locking storage areas, secure handling of kitchen tools, and managing keys carefully. Inventory management, including food receiving, storage, and requisitioning, also forms part of the duties. The position requires the ability to work independently, motivate and supervise inmates consistently, and maintain adherence to food safety certifications and correctional facility security clearance.

Given the physical nature of the role, employees must be capable of performing duties that may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended periods of walking or standing, and the use of personal protective equipment and uniforms. Aramark values adaptability and recognizes that duties may evolve to meet the needs of the business and client requirements. The position offers the opportunity to develop new skills, contribute meaningfully to the operation, and be part of a team committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence within a correctional environment.
