Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food and facilities services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. With a dedication to service rooted deeply in its mission, Aramark strives to make a positive impact not only for its partners and communities but also for the planet. The company firmly believes in equal employment opportunity and fosters an inclusive work environment that respects diversity in all its forms. Aramark focuses on helping employees develop their talents, pursue new challenges, and empower their professional growth by offering meaningful career paths and opportunities.

The role of Corrections Oversight Worker at Aramark is a vital position within the company's correctional food service operations. This role involves supervising inmates to ensure that meals and food items are prepared according to production plans and Aramark's high standards. As a Corrections Oversight Worker, you will be responsible for training inmates in proper cooking methods, assigning and coordinating their tasks, and promoting efficiency throughout the operation. Your duties will include reviewing production and temperature logs to maintain compliance, overseeing food preparation and tray assembly, and ensuring meals are served timely and meet special dietary requirements.

In addition to food production tasks, this position carries significant responsibility for sanitation and personal safety within the facility. Adhering strictly to all relevant safety standards, security policies, and HACCP protocols is essential. You will also help in inventory management, receiving and storing food items properly, and requisitioning orders when needed. The role demands excellent judgment, the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team within a correctional environment, and maintaining security by ensuring all tools, equipment, and keys are properly secured.

Working in a correctional environment means that the Corrections Oversight Worker must qualify for and maintain a facility security clearance. Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing or walking. Use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) will also be required.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, values teamwork, and possesses strong leadership skills. It represents an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause by supporting efficient meal service within a correctional facility while being part of a globally respected company known for its service excellence and employee-first culture. Aramark offers a dynamic work environment where adaptability is rewarded and where each employee’s contributions help sustain the well-being of the communities served.
