Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. With a mission rooted in service and a purpose driven by a commitment to do great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet, Aramark emphasizes a culture of continuous development, inclusivity, and equal employment opportunity. The company is dedicated to creating workplaces where all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, disability, or other protected characteristics, can thrive and contribute to collective success. Aramark offers diverse career pathways designed to fuel passions and empower professional growth, making it a preferred employer for those seeking meaningful challenges and a supportive environment to reach their full potential.
This role focuses on the position of Corrections Food Service Worker Supervisor within Aramark's correctional facility food operations. The Corrections Food Service Worker Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inmate food preparation and meal service to ensure that all production aligns with established food safety standards and client requirements. This position demands leadership capabilities to train and supervise inmates effectively, uphold sanitation protocols, and enforce security policies within the food service environment. Key responsibilities include managing daily food production schedules, approving temperature logs, monitoring food portioning especially for special dietary needs, and coordinating cleaning and sanitation tasks. The supervisor also assists in inventory management by receiving food supplies, restocking, and requisitioning orders when necessary. Strong attention to safety procedures and the company’s standard operating protocols, such as HACCP food handling guidelines, is essential to limit health risks and maintain compliance with correctional facility regulations.
Working as a Corrections Food Service Worker Supervisor at Aramark involves both operational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate and direct inmates and team members, manage food service logistics efficiently under pressure, and maintain a secure environment by adhering to correctional policies. This role requires flexibility since duties might evolve to meet changing business needs without formal notice. Physical demands of the job include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and spending extended periods walking or standing, often involving the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms. Candidates should expect dynamic workplace conditions that combine culinary excellence with strict security and sanitation standards, making the role both challenging and impactful within the correctional food service industry.
