Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in hotel management
  • Minimum 3 years experience in management role within Marriott, Hilton, or IHG properties
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer appointments
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and management
  • Willingness to travel approximately 90 percent of the time
  • Successful completion of pre-hire drug and background screening
  • Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion
  • Ability to meet corporate reporting deadlines and achieve financial targets

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in hotel management
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in Marriott, Hilton, and IHG properties in a management role
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management, and listening skills
  • Ability to use analytical skills for measuring business potential
  • Successful interaction with all levels of customers and management
  • Willingness to travel up to 90 percent of the time

Job Duties

  • Serves as acting General Manager of hotels in transition and provides corporate support for projects as directed
  • Must be able to fill in for General Managers within an assigned area where there’s a vacancy
  • Assumes full responsibilities managing all revenues, cost controls, team development, staffing, conflict resolution, and daily operations while supporting company vision and goals
  • Trains and/or works in other positions to assist assigned properties with employee training or shortages
  • Ensures accountability and effective communication within established guidelines and keeps corporate supervision informed
  • Meets corporate reporting deadlines and prioritizes financial results, guest satisfaction, and team spirit
  • Leads by example with integrity and guides management in development and financial aspects of projects
  • Manages all sources of revenue including rooms, housekeeping, food and beverage, engineering, ensuring profitability and strong interdepartmental relationships
  • Creates annual budgets, monitors performance, and coaches hotels throughout the year
  • Attracts, motivates, develops, rewards, and retains top talent
  • Ensures training of General Managers, AGMs, FOMs, and department heads using approved company and brand standards
  • Provides education on and enforces NHG Performance Standards
  • Travels between properties to train management staff and perform essential functions in GM absence
  • Performs other duties as assigned
