- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Excellent verbal communication skills and phone etiquette
- Functional knowledge of several MS Office applications, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook
- Customer service driven
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Ability to operate effectively with little or no immediate supervision

- One to three years of previous experience in a comparable administrative role preferred
Job Duties
- Properly greet PETCO visitors and handle the reception area traffic in a manner that ensures a professional environment is maintained
- Efficiently operate the PETCO switchboards, answer phone calls, take detailed messages and direct calls to the appropriate party
- Prepare and produce paper visitor badges
- Activate, deactivate and print access control badges with and without pictures
- Maintain daily sign-in logs, both hard copy and electronically
- Ensure lobby area is maintained in neat and orderly condition throughout the day
- Remain cognizant of any suspicious activity occurring at or near front door
- inform security or manager of same in a prompt, professional manner
