Job Description
JPMorgan Chase is one of the oldest and most respected financial institutions globally, with a legacy spanning over 200 years. The company expertly provides innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses, and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional, and government clients. Operating under the J.P. Morgan and Chase brands, JPMorgan Chase has established itself as a leader in investment banking, consumer and small business banking, commercial banking, financial transaction processing, and asset management. The firm places a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion and offers a comprehensive suite of benefits and programs designed to support employee well-being and professional development. The benefits include comprehensive health care coverage, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, mental health support, and more, creating an environment where employees can thrive and grow.
The Corporate Meetings & Events Team at JPMorgan Chase is a vital part of the Firmwide Events structure. This team is responsible for delivering best-in-class events and programs for a wide range of clients both inside and outside of the firm. Working in close partnership with colleagues across all lines of business, the team manages the entire event planning process, from initial conception through to successful event completion. As an Events Management Associate on this team, you will play an integral role engaging with various business partners within the firm to ensure seamless event delivery.
This role requires a strong focus on strategic event planning and management, encompassing diverse responsibilities such as overseeing data maintenance, project management, registration management, and vendor coordination. You will work independently on multiple programs, collaborating with different Meeting Managers, while contributing to a wide scope of tasks including venue research, internal and external communications, invitation creation and distribution, travel management, attendee housing, on-site event support, and post-event deliverables such as budget input and event debriefs. Your responsibilities will also include managing administrative tasks such as reviewing and reconciling reports, coordinating event supplies and shipping, ordering premiums, and handling production tasks like printing event material and final accounting.
To succeed in this dynamic role, you must bring at least three years of meeting planning experience within the financial industry, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proactive, self-sufficient approach. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail will be essential, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, V lookups), PowerPoint, and Word. The role demands a flexible team player willing to tackle any task, troubleshoot problems, and consistently deliver high standards in alignment with JPMorgan Chase's event expectations. While the position is fast-paced and occasionally requires late nights and some travel, it offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a highly collaborative and supportive environment committed to professional growth and success.
JPMorgan Chase offers a competitive total rewards package determined by role, experience, skills, and location. Eligible employees may receive commission-based pay or discretionary incentives in cash or equity form, acknowledging individual contributions. The company values diverse talents and is committed to equal opportunity employment, providing accommodations for religious practices, mental health, or physical disabilities as needed. Joining JPMorgan Chase as an Events Management Associate means becoming part of an inclusive and forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering exceptional event experiences that help drive the firm’s overall success.
