Job Description

CME Group is the world’s leading derivatives marketplace, providing a platform where futures are made and global markets are shaped. As an influential organization in the financial industry, CME Group impacts markets worldwide and transforms industries through innovation and expertise. The company prides itself on investing in the success of its workforce and fostering a collaborative environment where employees and consultants alike can thrive. Working with CME Group means being part of a team of problem solvers, difference makers, and trailblazers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the financial markets and building a robust career for those shaping tomorrow. CME Group embraces diversity and inclusion in its workforce, ensuring that all employees' unique experiences and skills are recognized and valued. As an equal-opportunity employer, the company is committed to offering a supportive and engaging work culture that promotes growth and respect across all teams and departments.

This opportunity is for a Corporate Marketing and Event Management Consultant who will be integral to the International Events Team, responsible for planning and executing CME Group events and brand initiatives across both domestic and international territories. This contract position plays a critical role in promoting CME Group’s image globally by managing various events, corporate initiatives, sponsorships, and conferences targeted at multiple major audiences. The role requires an experienced professional adept at delivering world-class events that align with the organization’s strategic business goals and internal stakeholder objectives. The consultant will oversee the full lifecycle of events, from conceptualization and budgeting through execution and post-event analysis, ensuring that each event reflects the brand standards and meets or exceeds expectations.

As part of the responsibilities, the consultant must manage multi-currency budgets and maintain financial discipline while handling invoice processing and supplier relationships. Collaborating closely with in-house creative teams to develop promotional materials and ensuring data compliance with GDPR regulations is essential. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to juggle multiple projects within a dynamic team environment. Additionally, this position may require travel, including site inspections and onsite event support, occasionally outside regular business hours. The fixed-term engagement runs from July 27, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with competitive compensation offered at an hourly rate ranging from $60 to $65, depending on experience and qualifications. It is important to note that while this role is dedicated to CME Group, the consultant will be directly employed by a third-party vendor who will provide pay and benefits.

Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned corporate financial event management professional looking to contribute their expertise to a global market leader and be part of a dynamic team that drives impactful brand initiatives and memorable events across the financial industry.
