The focus of the role is at Hotel Murano, a distinguished property located in the heart of Tacoma and part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio. Hotel Murano is a dynamic establishment featuring 319 guest rooms and 30,000 sq ft of versatile meeting space across 19 rooms. The position available is for a Corporate Sales & Business Travel (BT) Manager, responsible for driving sales in both the corporate group market and individual business transient market. This role involves developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and exceeding sales revenue goals. The manager will be expected to work collaboratively with the sales team to stay on top of market trends, maintain competitive positioning, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include conducting sales presentations, attending trade shows, managing proposals and contracts, and performing site inspections. The position requires a proactive and reactive approach to sales, with an emphasis on client retention and growth.

This role is full-time and non-union, offering a competitive salary range of $36.00 to $38.00 per hour. Benefits for full-time associates include medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; a 401(k) plan; paid time off starting with 14 days for the first three years; seven paid holidays plus two floating holidays; and employee room rate discounts. Part-time and union employees have tailored benefits such as sick time accrual, vacation based on service years, paid holidays, and employee discounts. The company requires candidates to have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED, with preferred candidates holding a four-year degree and previous experience in luxury hotel sales. The position demands at least two years of hotel sales experience with knowledge of advanced sales techniques and yield management. Proficiency in computer skills, communication, and customer service are essential. Multilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory. Travel is required locally and out of state, with candidates expected to have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Work with Director of Sales to determine annual sales call and revenue goals, develop and implement strategic sales plan to support goals
  • Establish individual sales plans and goals for assigned market segments
  • Solicit and secure new business in assigned market segments to drive group and business travel revenue to the hotel
  • Make outside sales, prospecting and telephone sales calls to venues, organizations and be established in all Corporate Group and business travel market segments
  • Develop the existing customer base as well as acquire new accounts to expand our account base
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and management of group promotions in conjunction with overall sales and marketing plan
  • Develop expertise in Corporate Group and BT markets
