In this role, the Corporate Event Professional will take full responsibility for the event production lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate every element including venues, travel, dining arrangements, décor, and communications. The successful candidate will ensure each event detail meets the high expectations of executive leadership while also providing on-site event management and direct support to the Board of Directors during events. This role is vital in creating seamless, well-executed events that positively impact the director’s experience and foster stronger relationships within the corporate environment.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent corporate experience supported by at least five years of progressive experience in corporate event planning, focusing on complex and high-profile events. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced setting. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are crucial since this role requires collaboration and relationship building across various stakeholder groups.

BCBST encourages innovation and responsible use of AI-enabled tools to enhance work processes, supported by established workflows, templates, and policies. Professional certification in event planning is a plus, and the company’s culture reflects a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer that recruits, hires, and promotes individuals without regard to any protected characteristic under applicable law.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead strategic, high-level events that shape the experiences of the Board of Directors and support BCBST’s mission to serve its members with excellence.
