Currently, CJ Schwan's is seeking a Corporate Executive Chef to join their team at the new corporate headquarters and kitchen facility in Hopkins, MN. This role is pivotal in providing culinary leadership and strategic direction to support category and channel marketing efforts across the company's diverse brand portfolio. The Corporate Executive Chef will be tasked with developing culinary solutions that enhance the company’s position as a trusted business partner and leader in the food category. This dynamic position requires travel up to 75% of the time to engage in various promotional food events, highlighting the role’s importance in external culinary presentations and industry representation.
The Corporate Executive Chef will plan and execute culinary presentations that align with market strategies and customer requirements. Acting as a company ambassador at key industry events, this role promotes CJ Schwan’s culinary expertise and innovative approach. Responsibilities include offering insights into customer culinary needs, supporting product and culinary training, and developing marketing support tools such as recipe ideas, product applications, and menu analyses. Collaboration with the research and development team is crucial in providing operator insights to improve product offerings and culinary operations. The role also involves managing, training, and mentoring subordinates to cultivate culinary talent within the organization.
This position offers a competitive base salary ranging between $83,000 and $139,000 annually, with additional eligibility for a 20% incentive bonus based on organizational performance. - 7+ years of relevant work experience
- extensive knowledge of culinary trends and techniques

Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years of work experience including food service distributor, food manufacturer or facilities management company overseeing training, menu development and/or culinary operations
- extensive knowledge of culinary trends and cooking techniques
- ability to effectively interact with customer culinary staff and senior management
- good knowledge of operators or food service operations
Job Duties
