The Corporate Concierge Security Officer (CCSO) position at Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is a full-time, dynamic role responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, secure, and hospitable environment at Goodwill's corporate locations. This essential role is focused on protecting employees, customers, program participants, and visitors by ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets. The CCSO performs regular patrols, monitors surveillance systems, controls access to secure areas, and enforces established security policies and procedures. Beyond traditional security functions, the position is designed to serve as a frontline representative who balances safety with professional customer service and dignity-based interactions. Officers in this role use CARE-based communication strategies to de-escalate conflicts and foster positive engagement, emphasizing the organization's values.

The Security Officer’s duties encompass proactive monitoring, incident response, and comprehensive documentation to ensure transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement of security operations. This role requires collaboration with internal teams and external emergency responders such as law enforcement, fire services, and EMS. The CCSO is expected to perform emergency procedures including evacuations and lockdowns when required, provide basic medical and first aid assistance within the scope of training, and work with integrity in compliance with legal, ethical, and corporate standards.
