Job Description

Sweetgreen is a leading national restaurant brand committed to building healthier communities by connecting people with real, fresh food. Founded in 2007, Sweetgreen has revolutionized the fast-food industry by offering flavorful, thoughtfully prepared meals rooted in sustainable relationships with farmers and local communities. Known for its dedication to quality and wellness, Sweetgreen continues to grow with a mission to reshape fast food and promote healthier living. As an employer, Sweetgreen values diversity and inclusivity, providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on gender, age, race, disability, veteran status, or other protected categories. The company also participates in the federal E-Verify program and supports accommodations to ensure equal access for all applicants.

The Team Member role at Sweetgreen is more than just a standard restaurant job—it is a critical position within a movement aimed at transforming food culture and guest experiences. Team Members are on the front lines, involved in every stage of the customer journey, whether preparing fresh ingredients, assembling meals, welcoming guests, or ensuring smooth operations. This role suits individuals who thrive in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments and who are passionate about food, hospitality, and delivering exceptional service.

This position offers the chance for growth and development, with top-performing Team Members gaining access to leadership opportunities and pathways to managerial positions within three years. Working at Sweetgreen, Team Members enjoy competitive wages, tips (subject to location and role), and a host of benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage for both part-time and full-time employees. Additional perks such as paid vacation, wellness time, parental leave, a free meal each shift, 401(k) plans, and access to a team merchandise shop provide a supportive and rewarding work environment.

In this role, you will be expected to prepare and serve fresh food quickly and accurately, maintaining high standards for taste, portion, and presentation. You will deliver genuine hospitality by making every guest feel welcomed, valued, and cared for, creating meaningful interactions that encourage repeat visits. Maintaining cleanliness and organization at your station supports efficient service and a pleasant work atmosphere. You'll also adhere to stringent food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols to build trust and ensure team and guest safety. During busy shifts, collaboration with teammates to balance preparation, service, and restocking is crucial to sustain smooth operations.

Sweetgreen seeks candidates who are reliability-focused, detail-oriented, and quality-driven, ready to bring energy, accountability, and a team-first attitude to every shift. Those who enjoy learning new skills and growing across multiple stations will find this role both challenging and fulfilling. By joining Sweetgreen, you contribute to a purpose-driven company that blends real food, vibrant communities, and meaningful careers into one.
