As a Core Stacker and Assembler, you will be integral to the manufacturing process of medium to large power transformers, specializing in assembling transformer cores, lower yoke, and columns, as well as the placement of oil channels and insulation components. This role requires a commitment to quality, precision, and safety standards, supporting Siemens Energy’s mission to revolutionize the energy landscape.

Your responsibilities will include stacking silicon steel sheets accurately according to technical drawings, managing heavy machinery like overhead cranes and forklifts, and ensuring the team adheres to strict environmental, health, and safety protocols. The position also offers growth potential where you could take part in mentoring and training new hires, contributing further to the strength of the department. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, the ability to interpret complex blueprints, and a dedication to maintaining Siemens Energy’s high manufacturing standards. Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Legal authorization for employment in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
  • Willingness to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil, or Germany for on-the-job training for 3 months with company-provided relocation support and compensation

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training or experience
  • Ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings, and perform complex measurements
  • Experience in medium to large transformer core stacking process preferred
  • Ability to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test
  • Ability to obtain Fork Truck License and Critical Lift level crane license and certification for working in heights
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Job Duties

  • Performs stacking and assembly of silicon steel sheets for transformer cores including placement of oil channels and insulation
  • Operates overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling
  • Reads technical drawings and conducts measurements and inspections
  • Assists in developing and maintaining technical documentation for core stacking and assembly procedures
  • Trains and mentors new hires in the department
  • Plans and reviews tasks according to production plans and manufacturing standards
  • Supports compliance with protocols and policies including EHS, QA, and CyberSec standards
