We are currently seeking a dedicated Core Manager to join our leadership team in the Rooms division at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. This role is critical to ensuring the seamless operation of room reservations and guest communications, directly impacting the quality of guest experiences from the very first contact. The Core Manager oversees the Core Team that manages reservations across hotel rooms, spa services, and restaurant/bar bookings, serving as the voice of the hotel. This position carries the responsibility of delivering impeccable service, coordinating reservation details, and maintaining flawless communication channels, including the hotel’s phone system.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Core Manager role demands someone who is personable and a team player, comfortable with technology, and flexible in schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • valid work authorization for the U.S.
  • ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • comfort with electronic reservation and communication systems
  • team player attitude and willingness to accept assignments as needed
  • strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years previous experience as a Core or Reservations/Communications Agent
  • supervisory or managerial experience preferred but not required
  • typing speed and accuracy at a high level
  • experience in a luxury hotel or similar environment
  • strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • passion for customer service
  • exceptional communication skills and command of English language
  • additional language proficiency is a definite asset
  • completion of post secondary education, preferably in hospitality or related field

Job Duties

  • Manage the Core Team responsible for handling all hotel room, spa, and restaurant reservations
  • sell hotel services and provide accurate information to prospective guests
  • coordinate details of reservations ensuring accuracy and excellent guest experience
  • oversee communications across all channels including the hotel phone system
  • train, mentor, and support team members to maintain high standards of service
  • handle inquiries and resolve guest issues promptly
  • ensure smooth operation during shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
