Job Description

This job opportunity is offered by a restaurant that is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, which holds a license to use McDonald's trademarks, logos, and food products, such as those seen in the operation of the restaurant. It is important to highlight that this franchisee operates as a completely separate entity from McDonald's USA. This means that if you are hired for this position, your employer will be the franchisee, not McDonald's USA. All employment-related responsibilities, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling of employees, rest exclusively with the franchisee. McDonald's USA does not exert any control over employment matters within this restaurant and does not participate in decisions such as whether you receive an interview or are ultimately hired.

About the role: This position invites candidates who are excited about advancement and personal growth in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. The role is designed for individuals who want a satisfying career with opportunities for development, competitive pay, and valuable benefits. As a department manager, you will have the opportunity to inspire your team and be part of a dynamic workplace that encourages skill-building and career progress. Managers in this restaurant play a crucial role in ensuring that every customer experiences fast, accurate, and friendly service during every visit.

The responsibilities for department managers can vary depending on the specific area they oversee such as Guest Service, Kitchen, or People (staffing and training). Each managerial role involves leadership duties that include setting goals, delegating tasks, coaching team members, and managing systems such as training, food safety, and inventory management. Particularly in the Guest Service department, managers focus on ensuring exceptional customer service, sales promotion execution, and organization of front-of-house operations including the McCafe and Drive-Thru. Kitchen managers are responsible for maintaining food quality, managing food safety standards, controlling food costs, and training team members on production procedures. People department managers oversee hiring, crew training, scheduling, and motivating staff to ensure the restaurant meets its sales and profit goals.

Candidates are expected to bring a positive team player attitude with a flexible schedule and a passion for working in McDonald's famously fast-paced environment. Prior managerial experience, particularly within restaurant, retail, or hospitality sectors, is preferred. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to qualify for a management role within corporate-owned and operated restaurants. This role is suited for those who want to grow their skills, pursue their education, and be themselves in a supportive team setting that values energy, purpose, and direction.

In addition to competitive pay, the position offers a comprehensive range of benefits designed to support employee well-being and future planning. These benefits include paid vacation after one year, opportunities for education through programs such as Archways to Opportunity (which includes high school completion, college tuition assistance, and English as a second language classes), medical, dental, and vision coverage, life, accident, and disability insurances, service awards, employee resource connection programs, and even adoption assistance. This role promises not only a job but a path to personal and professional growth within a well-known and respected franchise environment.

If you are motivated to work in a supportive and fast-paced restaurant setting with clear opportunities for advancement and education, this role offers a fulfilling career pathway.
