Job Description

The Cleveland Browns organization is a professional American football team with a deep commitment to delivering exceptional fan experiences and community engagement. Known for their passionate fan base and storied history in the National Football League (NFL), the Browns maintain a high standard of excellence in all operations surrounding their home venue, Huntington Bank Field. The organization is dedicated to creating a welcoming and memorable environment for all visitors, encompassing game days, special events, and a variety of private and public functions hosted within their stadium. They employ a dynamic team that works collaboratively to ensure seamless event execution and operational excellence.

The Coordinator, Stadium Event Operations is a pivotal role within the Cleveland Browns’ event management team. This position involves comprehensive oversight of both gameday and non-gameday special events at Huntington Bank Field, making sure every event runs smoothly and meets the organization’s stringent quality standards. The coordinator acts as Manager on Duty (MOD) for about 60 percent of all special events, a responsibility that requires decisive leadership, expert coordination, and excellent communication skills. The role demands close collaboration with internal departments such as Aramark for catering, 24/7 Security, Housekeeping, and Guest Services, as well as external partners and clients. Additionally, the coordinator manages event logistics, staffing, equipment needs, and space arrangements with meticulous attention to detail.

On gamedays, the coordinator supports operations within a designated stadium area, coordinating setup, staffing, and guest services to maintain an engaging and safe atmosphere. The role also involves handling guest concerns promptly by monitoring and responding to fan communications via text during events. Beyond direct event management, this position contributes to administrative duties, including financial tracking and event calendar management for special and private events, tours, and football operations-related activities.

The ideal candidate for this position will have prior supervisory experience, preferably in event management or venue operations, with a bachelor’s degree in related fields like Event Management, Sports Administration, Hospitality, or Business being preferred. Exceptional organizational, communication, and decision-making skills are essential, as is the flexibility to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Physical capability to handle demanding tasks on-site is also important, such as standing and lifting items over 50 pounds.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a professional sports organization renowned for its fan engagement and operational excellence. The coordinator position is instrumental in delivering world-class experiences that reflect the Cleveland Browns’ brand values.
