The Operations & Merchandise Coordinator role at REV Sports Management supports the gameday operations and merchandise logistics for New Mexico Pro Hockey, an expansion team in the ECHL. This position is integral in managing the excitement and smooth execution of on-ice intermission activities by leading the Ice Crew and Street Team. Additionally, the coordinator collaborates with the Director of Operations to oversee merchandise fulfillment and inventory organization, ensuring efficient sales both at live events and through online platforms. The role also extends to assisting marketing and operations teams with sponsor-related activities, guaranteeing contractual obligations are met during games, community events, and throughout the hockey season. This position suits someone with a proactive nature, strong leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to operational logistics and event management. The Operations & Merchandise Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing the fan experience, supporting retail operations, and growing the New Mexico Pro Hockey brand within the sports community.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work on feet for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Availability for home games, community appearances, sponsor events, and other team-related activities throughout the season
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Reliable, solution-oriented, and eager to contribute to a growing team
  • At least one year of experience in hockey, game operations, retail/merchandise, live events, or a similar sports environment
  • Bachelor's degree in sports management, business, marketing, or a related field preferred

  • At least one year of experience in hockey, game operations, retail/merchandise, live events, or a similar sports environment
  • Comfortable managing people and tasks in a high-energy environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Shopify preferred
  • Familiar with the Microsoft 365 platform
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
  • Reliable, solution-oriented, and eager to contribute to a growing team

Job Duties

  • Oversee all on-ice promotions and intermission activities on gamedays, including supervising Ice Crew and Street Team members
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of gameday operations including on-ice props, signage, concourse activations, and promotional elements
  • Coordinate merchandise fulfillment, restocking, and inventory management across all retail channels, including the team store, online orders, and pop-up stands locations
  • Ensure merchandise areas, both front-of-house and back-of-house, remain organized, clean, and operating efficiently
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on ordering, tracking, receiving, and organizing merchandise shipments
  • Train and supervise part-time retail and game day staff to ensure excellent customer service and operational consistency
  • Assist the Marketing and Operations departments with the setup, execution, and fulfillment of sponsor activations, promotions, and contractual assets
