Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sport management, sport administration, or related field
  • minimum two years of relevant experience in collegiate, professional or minor league sports
  • current or willingness to obtain certification in first aid, CPR, and AED use
  • knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and event-specific software
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • supervisory experience
  • demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • strong organizational and customer service skills
  • ability to manage budgets and purchasing processes

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and leadership to athletics staff to execute successful home games, oversee staging and management of all home athletics events, serve as liaison between athletics units and university departments, act as designated event administrator for home events, hire and supervise student assistants and volunteers, secure home event workers for outside client events, ensure implementation of TWU, Lone Star Conference, and NCAA game management regulations
