The role of Coordinator of K-12 School Engagement and University Events at Marian University is a vital position that bridges the university with the local K-12 educational community and beyond. Acting as a liaison, the role requires cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with K-12 schools, administrators, counselors, and community partners to promote Marian University’s youth programs effectively.
The coordinator is also responsible for the comprehensive organization and execution of a variety of university events, including student programs and community outreach initiatives. They ensure all events align with Marian’s mission, values, and branding standards, providing on-site coordination and troubleshooting support as needed. Compliance with Marian University’s Minors Policy is a critical part of this role, guaranteeing all youth programs meet safety, training, and reporting standards.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, public relations, event management, or related field
- Experience in K-12 education outreach, community engagement, event coordination or summer camp coordination
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience coordinating logistics, schedules, and communications across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
- Commitment to Marian University’s mission and Franciscan values

Job Duties
- Coordinate school group visits and campus tours to promote engagement opportunities for K-12 students, educators, and community stakeholders
- Support summer camp planning and logistical operations including enrollment tracking, staffing coordination, daily schedules, materials preparation, and on-site program execution
- Assist in planning and implementing pipeline programs supporting college readiness, access, and enrollment for underrepresented or underserved student populations
- Serve as a liaison between Marian University and partner schools ensuring consistent communication and relationship-building
- Develop and maintain relationships with K-12 schools, administrators, counselors, and community partners to increase awareness of Marian University’s youth programs
- Plan, organize, and co-execute university events including youth programs and community outreach initiatives with on-site coordination and support
- Manage youth compliance procedures according to Marian University’s Minors Policy to ensure safety and training standards are met
